The Scarborough Kittens
Animal Aid received a call about two mother cats and their three kittens in need of help, and so of course we responded. A man had found them living in his backyard, and while he has cats of his own, he didn't have the space for these ones as well. So he called Animal Aid, and we were quick to get out there to catch them all. They were severely dehydrated and sick, but because of the dedicated vet staff, they were all able to bring them to far better health. One of the vet staff even adopted a kitten. The two other kittens are currently still up for adoption, while the moms have been spayed and returned to the man who found them. Animal aid will even provide a heated shelter, and they can stay together.
IN MEMORIAM
THOMAS THE SILVER TABBY
Today, we mourn the loss of a truly remarkable soul, Larry, the heart and guiding force behind Thomas The Silver Tabby. His passing has left us all deeply saddened and profoundly affected, for Larry was not just the owner of a shelter; he was the embodiment of compassion, warmth, and unwavering love for all creatures great and small. Larry was more than a caretaker; he was a friend to every animal that crossed his path. His gentle demeanor and boundless patience created a sanctuary where abandoned, neglected, and mistreated animals found solace and a second chance at life. Through his dedication and tireless efforts, countless lives were touched and transformed. At Thomas The Silver Tabby, Larry's presence was felt in every corner. His commitment to the welfare of animals was matched only by his kindness toward those who shared his passion. He worked tirelessly, often behind the scenes, ensuring that each animal received not only food, shelter, and medical care but also the love and respect they deserved. Larry's legacy extends far beyond the walls of the shelter. He leaves behind a community united in grief but also in gratitude for having known such a remarkable individual. His impact on the lives of both humans and animals alike is immeasurable and serves as a testament to the power of kindness and compassion. As we come to terms with this loss, let us remember Larry not with sadness but with fondness and admiration for the life he lived and the profound difference he made. Let us honor his memory by continuing the work he started, by caring for the animals he loved so dearly, and by striving to emulate his spirit of selflessness and empathy. To Larry, whose love knew no bounds and whose legacy will endure in the hearts of all who knew him, we say thank you. Thank you for showing us the true meaning of compassion and for reminding us of the importance of kindness toward every living being. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. In Larry's memory, let us continue to uphold the values he held dear and ensure that Thomas The Silver Tabby remains a beacon of hope and compassion for years to come.
Rest in peace, dear friend. Your light will continue to shine through the lives you touched so profoundly.
